Active Release Technique

When we stop moving, even laying down to sleep at night, the small spaces between our muscles become interlaced with "fuzz" that can lead to more serious adhesions, especially after an injury, and further lack of motion in our muscles i.e. "KNOTS" causing tightness, stiffness, and soreness.

The soft tissue work performed by Dr. Eckman is specific to addressing the problem, leading to more motion between your muscles and less tightness, stiffness, and pain. These types of soft tissue symptoms are resolved best when you continue with regular treatment throughout an entire healing cycle of 8 weeks.

Using pressure and tension from her hands and specialized patient movements, knots, adhesions, and scar tissue can be remodeled allowing the sliding surfaces of your muscles to be restored. Active Release Technique (ART) has been used on professional athletes such as Payton Manning.

Benefits:

  • Elimination of pain, inflammation, and lymphatic congestion

  • Improved muscular clarity

  • Improved oxygenation of tissues

  • Improved muscle quality

Gonstead Adjustments

Dr. Eckman uses only the most specific and gentle adjustment techniques; Upper Cervical Specific, Gonstead, and Activator. Motion is the body translates to full communication between the brain and body; life at its greatest potential. When we stop moving, we stop living to the fullest. Adjustments restore segmental motion to the body, so you can get from point A to point B with ease. Pain is also prevented when our motion-signaling cells are working. These mechanoreceptors cause the brain to secrete pain-modulating chemicals. People who get regular chiropractic adjustments have fewer hospital visits, take fewer medications, are sick less often, have higher energy levels, and sleep better.
